For long-term care providers

Get listed on WeCareLA

Families come to WeCareLA because every provider here has been screened for how they treat LGBTQ+ elders and their chosen families. Screening and a basic listing are free. Paid memberships add a full public profile, direct contact, and higher visibility — they never buy a rating.

Talk to us about partnership

Every plan starts the same way — with the free screening questionnaire. There is no payment step in the form. Our team follows up after review with membership details and an invoice if you want a paid listing.

What a membership does not buy

We charge for verification work and for visibility — never for the outcome. A paid membership does not raise a rating, does not skip a review step, and does not keep a finding out of your file. If an organization cannot be verified, it is not listed, whatever it has paid. That rule is the reason a family trusts this directory at all, and it applies to every organization equally.

How verification works

Complete the screening

Six sections covering licensing, staff training, written non-discrimination policy, and everyday affirming practices. Free for every organization.

We verify your answers

Our team reviews your responses and follows up for supporting documentation — policy language, training records, and where needed a conversation or site visit.

You receive a rating and a listing

Verified organizations are listed in the public directory. You also receive a written summary of what would strengthen your practices.

We revisit it every year

Listings carry a review date. Annual re-verification keeps the directory honest and keeps your listing current.

Beyond the listing

Available to any organization, member or not. Quotes are provided on request — contact our team with your staff size and what you have in mind.

LGBTQ+ affirming organizational training

Training for your care staff, built from the same standards the screening measures — live cohorts or sessions delivered for your team. Quotes available on request, scaled to your staff size and format. Featured Partners receive a discounted rate.

Remediation consulting

Hands-on help for organizations that want to raise their rating — non-discrimination policy language, intake and records changes, roommate and visitation policy, and staff rollout. Quotes available on request.

Questions providers ask

Can we pay to be listed without passing the screening?

No. Verification is not for sale. Every organization in the directory has completed the screening and been reviewed by our team, and paying for a membership does not change a rating or guarantee a listing. If we cannot verify your answers, we will tell you what is missing rather than list you.

What does the free Basic Listing actually get us?

A complete screening, a review by our team, your WeCareLA reference number, and — once verified — a standard listing families can find, with your organization name, type, city, and service area. Families reach you through the WeCareLA team. It costs nothing and it is not time-limited.

We are still building our affirming practices. Should we apply?

Yes. “In development” is a valid answer throughout the questionnaire. We would rather help an organization improve than list one a family cannot rely on, and the written summary you receive is useful whether or not you take a paid membership.

How is payment handled?

Verified Affirming Provider is $199 a year and Featured Partner is $50 a month. Both are invoiced by our team after your screening has been reviewed — there is no payment step in the questionnaire. Start with the free screening and we will follow up with an invoice if you want a paid listing.

Can we cancel or move back to the free listing?

Yes. A paid membership can lapse back to the Basic Listing at the end of its term as long as your verification is still current. Your screening record and reference number stay with your organization.

Start with the free screening

It takes about twenty minutes and costs nothing. You can decide about a paid membership after you see your review.
